子宮內膜異位（俗稱朱古力瘤）是一種常見的女性疾病，中醫張婉蘭指出，「朱古力瘤」屬於中醫「癥瘕」範疇，因瘀血留結於下腹，久之則瘀阻沖任、胞宮，瘀積日久可形成「癥瘕」，而腎虛、血瘀或肝鬱體質者較易患「朱古力瘤」。
